Hi,

I just recently created a new newsletter under my account (ltsun@ewspartners.com.au), with the newsletter name "E&W Strategic Partners".

I have used some basic graphics to use as the background images for the header and footer, and in the editor, I can clearly see them being displayed. However, when I send myself a test email, they don't end up displaying. I'm not sure whether it's because of that, the rest of the formatting in the email also gets thrown off. Or maybe it's the formatting that's gone haywire and subsequently the images have disappeared.

The funny thing is, when I click on "See it online", it looks fine again when it shows up on a webpage. http://www.m2news.com.au/tools/View.php?id=7547&t=a251eb8337331d4d854a9b04f43d1faa

I was wondering if you had any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this problem.

Thanks,
Lap-Tin

Hi,
Looking in the source code, there is a lot of strange things that have made it in, particularly a load of skype code. I'd suggest using an editor that doesnt have the skype plugin installed, as it seems to be taking over your editor.

Also, the html and head tags have been restarted in the body of the newsletter... we can clean it all up for you if you want?

Hi Roger,

I've had another look, and I can figure out this much.

The editor I built the template in (Expression Web 2) doesn't have a Skype plug-in. But, the browser I was using (Firefox) did, so I think that's where the skype code was coming from, even though I couldn't actually see it.

As for the extra HTML / HEAD tags, that I can't explain. But I pulled one of the pre-existing templates straight out (the Sky one) and sent it to myself, and that also has the extra HTML/HEAD tags in the source, so I'm not sure that's causing the problem.

But rather than play around with it myself (already spent about 10 hours trying to get it to work), I'll just get you guys to code it up for me if you could. I'll send through a request through the system. Thanks.

No problem, if you want to save any changes you have made, and logout from the editor, then I'll go and work on it. Let me know when you're ready. Also, please confirm that the newsletter is this one: http://www.m2news.com.au/members/view.php?id=7552 as the ID has changed from the one you listed above.

Regards
Roger

Hi Roger,

Yes, that would be the one. I've gone through lots of different versions trying to get it to work.

I also sent a request through the m2news system that contains a zip file with all the HTML and graphics needed. Should be sitting in your inbox by now I imagine.

Thanks,
Lap-Tin

Hi,
If you requested a template creation, then that would have gone to our designer rather than me directly. I'll leave it to her to create your template then, as she is better at it than I.
