Hi there,

I have created a newsletter in the editor, and added some links to pages in my client's website.

When I click on the links in the preview, they work as expected. However, when I click on them in the newsletter itself, I get a brief URL of the kind "http://www.m2news.com.au/handshake/link.php?n=4151&t=31567012", and then the browser resolves to "localhost", ie my own machine.

The full link in the newsletter source is:

http://www.writerstudio.com.au/news-party.html

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben,

You've deleted that newsletter from your account, if the newsletter is not there anymore the links will not work because there is nothing to get the links from.

Thank you

OK, I see now - yes, they are working for the current version. Thanks for that.

There were multiple versions because I was sending them to a test group - my client's email address is the account email, so I wasn't able to see tests - but then once you've sent to an actual group, you can't re-edit the newsletter without creating another copy. Should I add "test group" to the feature request board maybe for this situation?

Thanks again for the quick response.

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I suggest that you put client's email address in the "Business email" field (account details page), and leave your own email address in "Your email address" field, that way you will have access to both.

Next time you need to test the newsletter, simply click on "Newsletters" link and then select "send this newsletter to me" option in the actions dropdown, on the next page you will be able to select if you want to get the newsletter or if it should be sent to your client.

Using the above method, you will not need to create multiple versions of the newsletter, and it's the best way to quickly test.

Thank you
