Hi,
It is because you pasted content in from Word, and word or has left the command in the code called "contenteditable="true" : along with a load of other Word-only code.
This means that anyone can actually edit the page from any browser. (but not save changes)
Did you not see the warning at the top of the editor? |

Hi,
yes, just delete all your content and type it in again, and it should be fine. |

Hi,
In the source view there was still a lot of Word formatting, which is why the word test is blue and in bold. I have gone in and removed it all for you. |

Hello,
the reason it was still not working was because the editor will not remove head and body tags, for obvious reasons, and they were hidden from the source view so that they couldn't be removed. I consulted our programmer and we have now been able to fix it.
Is there any particular reason why you decided to paste from Word, when it says clearly not to above the editor? I am just curious, because a lot of people keep doing it and we have to go in a fix it every time, and it's a huge waste of our time to keep having to do this. So I am just wondering what else we can do to make it clear that pasting from Word is a bad idea? |

Thank you,
I have just previewed the site and although i can click on the navigation menu, once i have clicked on it once it reverts back to the old way - not working and able to alter the text
too be honest, was just keen to get into it without really reading or understanding the consequences. The line above the editor is fine - maybe an entry page with a tick box saying the use has read the warning about pasting from word before entering the M2CMS system...just an idea
i will not be pasting from word ever again!!!! |

I'll have to get our programmer to look at it for you, He's out of the ofice at the moment, but will take a look as soon as he gets back.
What browser are you using? We think your browser might have something to do with it.
Either way, we will make sure that this can't happen again. |

That's because while we have removed the code from the home page, it is still in the other two.
I'll go in and re-save those pages and it will remove the offending Word code automatically on save now. |

And I just logged in to your admin, clicked the home page to edit it, clicked save, went to your site, and it's removed the code as it should do.
This is very weird. What browser are you using to edit the pages? ie. what browser are you logged into the admin area with?
I think for now, I'll switch you to the other editort, because I think somethign strange is happening between your browser and the new editor.
Thanks,
Roger |
