If you are experiencing slow loading times when editing your pages, it could be due to number of images you have in the page, and the file size of them combined.
I would suggest that
1. keep upto 3 images per page, this is not a free sites system limit, its just is a general rule of good web sites, more text = better search engine ranking.
2. Optimise the images, try to keep their file size as low as you can without degrading their quality to much, software such as photo shop can be used for this, or you can use a free tool called PIXresizer, you can download it from http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm
3. If all else fails, or you need to access the page to make the suggested edits, you can use firefox (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/), which unlike Internet explorer, does not lock the page until everything has loaded. |
