Evening folks.
Marianne was kind enough to set up an email address - sales@moornapublications.com - for me yesterday and I followed the downloadable instructions to get it working for my site moornapublications.com but I haven't been successful in getting it working, but I am wondering if it is because I am using the same password for sales@moornapublications.com as I am for moornapublications.com so the two may be conflicting, if not I have no idea why the sales@ email won't work for me, so can you offer any suggestions, but if it is because I stuffed things up with using the same password for both email receiving how can I change the password for the sales@ one now?
The other thing that I could be doing wrong is entering the wrong info in the email setup frames as
I find it sighty confusing
In the 'email servers names' box I have been entering - mail.sales@moornapublications.com - in the incoming box, and - mail.aapt.net.au - in the 'outging mail SMTP server' box as that's my ISP provider
In the 'internet mail logon' box I've been entering - sales@moornapublications.com - and my chosen password in the 'password' box, then clicking finish when that's all accepted.
If the above is wrong please tell me what is wrong with it so I can do it all over again.
Thanks
King Dumbarse (Once more) lol |

Dear king,
Please advise what error messages you are getting as your suggestion of password conflict above would not be a problem.
Thanks, in anticipation,
Roger |

I hope you're tugging your forelock when you address the king lol.
When I enter - mail.sales@moornapublications.com - in the 'incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP server' box I get an Internet connection Wizard pop up box telling me:
"The specified POP3 server does not appear to be a valid server name, do you want to use it anyway?"
If I click YES I can continue filling in the rest of the boxes as shown on your instructions for Outlook Express.
When I re-open Outlook Express to check for email etc. I get an error message box come up saying"
The host 'mail.sales@moornapublications.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.sales@moornapublications.com', Server: 'mail.sales@moornapublications.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
in the errors part and this in the tasks area:
Tasks Status Connection
Chck for new messages on mail.sales Failed Local area network
So nothong works for my new sales email box as it doesn't recognise it. |
