Problem:
The actual page doesnt look how it looks in the editor.

Solution:
Sometimes, repeated changing of fonts and styles, can mess up the code, and make it fifficult to manage the content and have it looking as you want. Also, some paragraphs get stuck inside heading tags (A heading tag is the style assigned to a word or words which makes it look like a heading, usually before the heading and after.)

You should never really need to define any fonts or styles in your site, except for headings, because they will automatically be in the style set by the template, and therefore designed to match the theme of the template currently in use. But when you do, make sure they are only applying to headings and not the paragraphs that follow.

To remove a heading tag that shouldnt be somewhere, simply click the at the bottom of the editor area, and then on the right, you'll see a link that says "Remove Tag" - click that and the heading will be removed from that text it was on.

If you get really stuck just contact us and we'll fix up a page for you.

My site is www.joannacarrollcmc.com
I would like to add the font Vladimir Script to my site if possible? Is this any extra? Also, I cannot find the "link" button on my toolbar.

Also, some of the text that I typed in doesn't appear when I update the site. This is the details in 'Package 5' on my packages page.

Also, in my 'services' page, I have put in a number of line spaces which haven't shown up when the site is upated AND I moved some pictures to the right side of the page by spacing then across (space bar) but they show up on the left side of the page next to the print when updated. Why is this and how can I fix it? This is also in the 'services' page.

thanks, Joanna

Hi,

1. There is no point in adding fonts, because unless everyone has it installed on their computer, they won't see it. The fonts for websites are the ones in the list, as they are the ones that everyone has by default, including Mac users.

The link button is the one with the little chain link on it. If you hold your mouse over each button, the button label will popup saying what it is.

2. You have somehow set the font colour to black under the package 5, and that is the same colour as the background of the template you have chosen. Pasting content from other sources can cause this formatting to be included in your page.

3. I don't know where the line spaces are meant to be on your page, but try holding down the shift when you press the enter, to create line breaks. As for spacing images, inserting spaces is the wrong way to do it, as browsers only show one space at a time, (unless you create non-breaking spaces, which the editor doesnt do). But to align images, you need to set the property of the images to either align left or right, and it will be aligned to that side of whatever it is next to. You can do this by right-clicking the image and choosing "Modify image properties". To make sure the image doesnt butt up against text, add some horizontal spacing of about 8.

If you'd like me to demonstrate this, let me know what photo you'd like moved where.

Hope this helps!
