Hi, where have you been pasting from? Pasting from any word editor or email program copies across a lot of text formatting which can cause the page to not behave the way it should. There is nothing wrong with the system that would make it do what you are describing, so I will need more details about exactly what is happening and on which pages to be able to help. |

I have done no pasting from word at all, purely design and text from your tools provided. all was fine until i started to link pdf documents and from there on all my other work dissappeard. I cant explain any further than that, i have not done anything different other than linking pdf documents and normal boxing and text with some colour which i have done on this same page previously. | |||

There has been some pasting fom Word or another website, on the home page, in the code, there is 'class="MsoNoSpacing' which comes from Word. Same on client services page, FAQ and a few others, but nothing that looks like it would disrupt the saving of a page. some pages have a div class = "content" several times at the top of the code, indicating that pasting from soemplace has been happening, as the editor can't put that in by itself. Which page is not saving your work? - I'll see if it behaves for me |

What you have done there is caled 'hotlinking'. - http://www.virtu-software.com/ask-doug/QandA.asp?q=77 - In this case, it has copied over a lot of encryption from the source site. Hotlinking is frowned upong because in order for your site it load the page, it needs to then get images from someone elses server and load them into your page. This uses their bandwidth, which they pay for. Unless you own the sites from which your site is grabbing images each time it loads, then what you're doing is bad, and could get you into trouble with the sites who do host the images. I'd remove that image, and all others you have hotlinked to, and then for any images you want in your site, download them to your computer first, then upload them to your site using the insert image feature. Unless you know html and are proficient with creating complex webpages, then it's best to keep things simple. (because when it gets complex, sometimes you have to go into the source code to edit it to make it look right, and the more complex it is, the less chance it will display properly in all browsers on both PC and Mac) Some tips: I notice you keep using different font colours in your pages, and in one page you have made the background black.. any reason for that? Each color change and font change adds a lot of code to the page, which in turn bogs it down when people go to view it. It's nicer to keep the code clean and simple and tidy. And one font and font colour consistent throughout the site gives a professional appearance to the whole site. |
