Hi - my site is prestophotos.com - I've been really happy with your system as I had no previous experience in website design, but through trial & error (and some help from friends) managed to get our business "out there' at minimal cost.
However recently something happened and I can't access my sub pages in order to edit them, i.e. they don't appear in my list of pages on the left hand side of the editor screen.
I made them all sub pages of the Error 404 page as this seemed the only way to prevent them from appearing in the header section of my "main" pages?? These pages are accessed on the site by the links (sub-headings) on my "services" page.
Can you please help??
Thanks,
Don. |

Hi Don,
We had to hide the 404 error page due to such problems, it is not meant to be used to hide any sites pages, or even as a site page, it is merely a page to say "we couldn't find your page" message etc.
To hide your pages from showing up in the site, you simply need to edit them and click on "save only" button in the editing page, that will hide the page form site visitors and still show them to you in the editing area.
I've got all the hidden pages that you lost, please note that they are red in the left hand side bar, that means they are only saved, they are not published on your site. When you are ready, you can edit them and click on "save and publish", that will put them on your web site for anyone to see.
Thank you

Hi Qads
Thanks - that is pretty simple, I thought I needed to save and publish to make them accessible - my bad. On a separate issue, I was wondering if there was any way to post password protected categories in our gallery? We would like to give our clients the ability to view the images from their studio sitting online, but not allow everyone else to see them. Or, can we set up multiple galleries on separate (unpublished) pages and direct our clients directly to "their" page? We could do the latter using the individual pages image editor, but separate galleries would be a more efficient method if it were at all possible.
Thanks,
Don |

Hi Don,
No problem, I will see what can be done about protecting image categories with a password.
Thank you

Hi Don,
I've added the password protection in the gallery module, please have a look and let me know if you have any questions or find any problems.
Thank you |
